We are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate live event environment designer to join our busy creative services team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the concept development and production design of creative stage sets and other educational and immersive environments. The role involves collaborating with writers, directors and technical producers to develop the entire visual aesthetic for a wide range of meetings and events.
You’ll be responsible for generating high quality 3D CAD visuals that accurately illustrate impact and drama in the live event environment, developing structured visual pitch presentations and client proposals to communicate concepts clearly. You’ll be adept at translating creative ideas into practical live event designs, have a technical understanding of audio-visual elements and the ability to develop 3D visuals using software such as 3D Studio Max or Cinema4D.
To be considered for this role you will need a degree in theatre studies, creative or visual arts, exhibition, interior or architectural design. Equivalent set design experience working within a creative or event agency will be accepted. You will need to be adept in the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programmes and well-versed in creative systems and processes, including best practice for the technical development of both event and exhibition environments. Presentation development skills using PowerPoint and/or Keynote will also be useful and you’ll need a keen interest in the creative industries, with the ability to advise on current trends and technologies. Experience of developing innovative attendee engagement activities would be a distinct advantage.
In this role, effective task prioritisation and time management is a must to ensure expectations and deadlines are consistently met. You will need to be a quick-thinking problem-solver with the ability to multi-task. You must be able to interpret commercial objectives into highly creative and tangible event deliverables and be self-driven and motivated with an excellent attention to detail. Needless to say, you’ll need to deliver effective projects with enthusiasm and professionalism and be a proactive team player with an affable and approachable manner.
