We’re thrilled to highlight that our very own UK Technology Project Manager, Luke Thorogood, has successfully qualified for Conference News’s CN30 under Thirty 2018.
The initiative, run by Conference News in partnership with Cvent, honours the conference and meetings industry’s top young talent. It officially recognizes their outstanding achievements and offers them opportunities to learn from each other and top industry figures.
Luke was commended for demonstrating an exceptionally high level of dedication, innovation, and passion for the events industry.
Since joining Ashfield Meetings & Events in 2015 as a Project Executive, Luke has shown commitment and promise throughout his career. His manager, Heather Sharp (Account Director and also a CN30 under Thirty alumni) commented on his development.
“Luke has used his avid interest in technological advancements and his dedication to flawless delivery for clients, to carve out his niche within the company,” says Heather. “As well as understanding and recommending various technology solutions, Luke has built strong relationships with third party tech suppliers and has taken the time to grow the technology service within the business; carefully negotiating cost-savings and encouraging creative thinking among teams for clients and their attendees.”
Marketing Communications Manager, Fiona Geeson, adds: “Luke is a key and influential member of the team for both Ashfield and SPARK THINKING. As an agency, we’re not short on talented individuals, and Luke genuinely personifies all of our company values. We’re very proud of him achieving this place on the CN30 under Thirty list and excited to watch him continue to grow in his role here at Ashfield.”.
Luke will join the finalists at the awards and networking evening at Camm & Hooper’s Grace Hall on 29 October.
